With March being Women’s History Month, and since yesterday was International Women’s Day, we wanted to put the spotlight on our very own Pace PR ladies. Our team of dynamic, strong, sophisticated PR gurus are ALL WOMEN.
While that did not happen intentionally, we are so glad that it did. We work alongside some of the brightest and most talented women in public relations. Every day we are given the privilege and opportunity to build up one another, learn from each other and grow together a team.
There is no shortage of support at Pace PR. While there isn’t an official policy, many of the staff are working moms, and therefore we understand the need and importance of being both flexible and supportive, particularly when it comes to having a sick child at home or a parent-teacher conference in the middle of the day. Occasions where the need to work remotely do arise, and we’re so happy to work in an environment and for a company that is understanding of keeping a healthy balance between our work and home life.
In addition to team-building outings, holiday parties or special company events – such as a surprise baby shower for a fellow PPR mom – we also constantly seek occasions to build each other up on a professional level.
After being nominated by the Pace PR team, our own Natalie Medved was named a PRNews’ Rising Star for the 30 & Under awards at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C in 2018.
PR’s President & Founder, Annie Pace Scranton, has long been an advocate for women and feminism. In addition to being a graduate of Smith College, one of the most prominent colleges for women in the country, Annie is also a member New York Women in Communications, Inc., an organization for women in the communications field that are looking to grow professionally; The Step Up Network, a nonprofit membership organization igniting women to reach their full potential; and a platinum member of Ladies who Launch, an organization created to support, educate and celebrate women entrepreneurs worldwide.
As a trailblazer herself, Annie loves working with, for and alongside strong women leaders and is always seeking additional opportunities to empower and support her fellow female entrepreneurs.
As one example, Pace PR has had the pleasure of working with Away’s co-founders Steph Korey and Jen Rubio for the past few years as they launched their brand, Away Travel, a direct-to-consumer travel brand that keeps the modern traveler in mind. Working closely with moguls such as Steph and Jen consistently remind Annie and the entire PPR team of the resilience, strength and caliber that women put out into the world every day.
